Janet Schwarzkopf received both B. S. and M. A. degrees from Western Kentucky State College and an Ed. S degree from George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, TN. For three years she taught at the Bowling Green College of Commerce, first in the Secretarial Science Department and later in the English Department. In 1963 she joined the English Department at Western Kentucky University, where she taught until retiring in 2002. Currently, she is a member of the Chancel Choir at The Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green, KY.
