Recital Hall, Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center

The Recital Hall is the perfect venue for small ensembles and chamber music with its warm, intimate ambience and fine acoustics. The Recital Hall is on the first floor of the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center which is adjacent to the Colonnade and Amphitheater, remnants of WKU’s original football stadium.

From I-65, take Exit 22 (Scottsville Road). Come into town exactly 4.2 miles and turn right onto State Street. Go one block and turn left onto 11th Avenue. Go one block and turn left onto College Street. Proceed up College Street until it dead ends at the top on the hill. Turn right and then make an immediate left onto the campus. Van Meter Auditorium will be on your left. Continue past Van Meter Auditorium, continue down the hill to the Wetherby Administration Building and turn left. The Amphitheater and Colonnade is on your right and the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center can be seen through the Colonnade. Parking is available throughout the university.

The Capitol Arts Theater

Built as the Columbia Theater, an early vaudeville theater, the Capitol sits proudly on the town square as the main performing arts venue in Bowling Green. The facility includes an eight hundred seat theater, a gallery, box office, and arts offices.   

Van Meter Auditorium

The oldest surviving structure on Western Kentucky University’s campus, Van Meter Auditorium has long been the cultural center of the university. Fine acoustics and comfortable seating mark the characteristics of this fine facility.


First Baptist Church

With its voluminous space, large platform with seated choral risers, and magnificent Casavant organ, First Baptist Church is the perfect venue for orchestral concerts and performances of large choral works with orchestra.

The Presbyterian Church

Long known for its excellent acoustical properties, The Presbyterian Church sanctuary is ideal for performances of solo recitals and chamber recitals. 

 

First Christian-Disciples of Christ Church

1106 State Street
Bowling Green, Kentucky 

From I-65, take Exit 22 (Scottsville Road). Come into town exactly 4.2 miles and turn right onto State Street. The First Christian Church will be on the right. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot.
